What Is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing technique used by “laying of the hands”. The Reiki practitioner is a mere channel for the life force energy/prana/qi to flow to the client. Reiki energy translates through to the physical, mental, energetic and emotional bodies. Working on a holistic level and at the “root cause”. It is an energy that has a wisdom of its own and knows where to flow, it is pure consciousness and vibrates at the highest frequency, allowing for low vibrations to be cleared and chakras (energy centers) to be balanced and cleared.

What Does A Reiki Session Look Like?
First, we will enter the reiki room and have a short discussion about what to expect during the session, whether or not you have had any past energy healing experiences, and lastly discuss any questions or intentions you have.
Next, I will ask you to find a comfortable position laying on the massage table. I will have a blanket available to keep you cozy. Please feel free to bring your own eye mask as well. Mamas we can find a comfy side lying position if your back is not comfy. You will not be asked to lie on your belly.
I will then guide you through a grounding meditation to help you attune to the reiki energy, still the mind, and relax the body. I will have calming music playing in the background.
Just before we begin I will take a few moments to channel and attune myself to the reiki energy.
During a reiki session my hands act as the channel for the reiki energy. Based on the client’s preference reiki can be done hands-on or hands hovering over the client, both are equally effective.
Crystals are available to enhance the experience and healing. They can be placed over chakras or simply around the body
Once the reiki session is complete, I will slowly welcome you back to the room and you will have the option to discuss anything that came up for you or any further questions you may have.
After a reiki session it is encouraged to drink plenty of water and rest if possible. Adding some self-care rituals to your day is also very beneficial.
